Naw, you need the actual music videos for that and “Beautiful People”.
They’re just like my dreams…

Yeah, but I think that they might be too disturbing for many BLF members.
As is the music IMHO
Yeah, much of his music is disturbing.
I don’t think his cover of Sweet Dreams is all that bad, though.
By the way, if you don’t like his music, avoid his music videos like the plague!
Last night with my bride of 37 years, anniversary date with our buddy Eric Clapton …
Wait… that’s actually Boz Skaggs? Man, he can still cook…
I remember that song from when I was a little kid. This older kid Eddie was really into Boz Skaggs, Steely Dan, etc., and used to play them over and over and over again.
Yep, goggled it. “Silk Degrees”. I remember the album cover with him on the park bench.
And yeh, “Lowdown” was on SD, as well as “Lido Shuffle”.
Even though Within Temptation is a great band as a whole, having Sharon do acoustic versions with nothing more than a guitar or two as accompaniment, and it still holds up as an incredible performance, is really telling about her talent as a singer.
The “Tubular Bells” guy??
Gotta confess, that’s the only song I know from him.
Yup the same guy. I have 4 of his albums. Interesting music. I think I will track down the Crises album. 1983 IIRC.
It looks like Oldfield released around 26 albums. Tubular bells just got lots of air time.
I think the track above is “Moonlight Shadow, with Maggie Reilly on vocals, which became Oldfield’s most successful single, reaching No. 4 in the UK”
@Chronovore has some interesting taste in music. At least in some ways, quite like mine I think.
Yes! Tubular Bells also got big due to its use in The Exorcist. It’s a cool bit of music. Since y’all inspired me to listen now on my headphones, might as well post it!
As far as tastes, I appreciate a pretty wide range of stuff. If that wasn’t evident here, a quick look at my other listening history shows Captain Beefheart, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Ennio Morricone, Opeth, Type O Negative, Powerwolf, Ghost, some opening themes from Anime, Jean-Jacques Perrey, and Oesch’s die Dritten.
