What are you snacking on now?

These were okay. Big casserole dish, so it was more like a square chocolate pancake than brownie. Undercooked it at first (box says to add a few minutes if using a glass pan, but this was ceramic), so back in for another 10(!)min.

Still a bit gooshy, but evenly cooked thanks to its thinness. Thicker, and you get chewy and possibly dry corners, and a wet middle.

But damn is it sweet…

Back when I was a kid, there’d be a yearly trip to Doylestown (OL Czestochowa), and they sell tins of the gooiest gooshiest chocolatiest brownies known to man.

Picture chocolate mud mixed with vantablack paint. Nfw would you consider it dry. :joy:

Reese’ Pieces. In a bowl with honey, more peanut butter, and grahams

Just finished the last of the DH brownies I made t’other day. California Walnut or something, kinda mid.

Sale was for only a few types, 2bux/box, these rang up as 4fitty. Yikes!

Kept em to try em. Pretty good, but doubt I’d ever get em again. Sticking with the Dark Chocolate Fudge.

Made a Burger King.

Toasted the Kaiser roll with a little butter in the pan, weighted down. Mayo on one side, katchup on the other. Half a vidalia sliced thick, pile of pickles also sliced thick. Half lb of chopmeat in the pan, shaped to fit the whole roll, salted. Miraculously came out just perfect, thin line of pink throughout.

Yeah, that was breakfast at 10 at night. Cats all et like 3-4 times already, but me…

Other half lb, half onion, last roll, etc., for tomorrow. Worked out nicely.

Man, that was good, though.

made two batches of brownies.
one had small chocolate chunks.
those were not my favorite, but
the box was a BOGO, so i will
have to do it again.

TD got me in a brownie mood, so was gonna make some last night… then fell asleep.

So, did shopping early early and got goodies.

Fresh squooshy Kaiser roll, zesty Italian, hot cherry peppers, pinchy vidalias (don’t think they give them enough water, per Radish Theory), plum tomatoes, s&p, and ham.

If I added cheese, it’d probably end up too slick in-between and would explode in my face.

Deeee-lish. :face_savoring_food:

It sounds quite interesting… But please tell me how you got from broenies…to that?*

1 Thank

Didn’t want to wait to have to make the batter, cook it, let it cool, fridge it, then finally get to eat it, once I woke up.

Had the dressing and peppers already, so when I went shopping, I got all the other goodies and feasted.

Those cherry peppers, though… hoo! Nice and spicy!

Got used to putting on almost a full layer of roasted (bell) peppers, and did the same with these. Drank milk after the sammie, and my breath still felt hot when I exhaled. Yummy!

B&G hot cherry peppers, if anyone’s interested.

Should remind myself to make those brownies so I don’t forget and fall asleep again.

2 Thanks

usually, i fall asleep AFTER eating the brownies.

anyway, right now…hummus pinwheels.

I used up the last of the ham by chopping it up and making Ian omelette on der Kaiser roll, with some cheese.

Used up the last of the cheese and ancient but still remarkably crispy (yay, preservatives!!) saltines with a chicanery board.

Cheese, onion, mustard on crackers til the cheese was gone, then just slices of plum tomatoes and mayo on crackers til the crackers were gone.

Nom-nom-nom…

Nom-nom-nom…

Went crazy on a samwich today. Went shopping early early, got all my goodies outside what I already had.

Soft squishy kaiser roll, zesty italian, pickles(!), vidalias, hot cherry peppers, ham, and this time cheese as well

Usually cheese is Just There, but I used like 1.5 layers worth this time. Zesty from the dressing, spicy from the peppers, everything just worked. And so much crunch from the pickles, onions, and peppers.

Good Lord, it was good!

Try it! You’ll thank me later.

cherry tomatoes from a local farm stand.
they are almost too sweet.
almost.

I put honey-roasted peanuts in my cereal to add some protein and fat to my breakfast.
I’ve tried Aldi’s brand, Walmart’s brand (Great Value), and Planters.
Surprisingly, Great Value is much better than the others.
My sister likes cocktail peanuts, and she’s tried all three brands.
She also prefers Great Value.
You would think that Planters would be the best because it’s a name brand, but according to my sister and me, it’s not. :man_shrugging:

Do you put peanuts in coke? Apparently that’s a thing

2 Thanks

Haven’t had cereal in ages, so splurged and had some Raisin Brain today.

1 Thank

Just yesterday, I had Honey Nut Cheerios with a banana cut up and mixed in. First time I’ve had cereal in a good 6 months, was pretty good.

1 Thank

It’s wild that splurge is an accurate description when buying boxed cereal but it’s the literal truth. Shrinkflation really hit cereal hard

1 Thank

Yeh, that’s the other box I got. Post and GM were on sale, so picked up some and a gallon of regular milk. I only do regular milk (ie, not the organical one) because it practically comes pre-soured from the factory, whereas orgmilk lasts quite a while, even after opening.

Figure the cheerios, I could even just snack on them dry like trail mix.

1 Thank

I generally don’t eat crap. The occasional Cheezy-Poofs, maybe an Entenmann here and there, brownies (mix), that’s pretty much it. But only if on sale. Regular price is ridiculous.
