I use the red light to wake up my retinas daily, also for pain relief.
I have been using the little Zebra as a nightstand light, and for indoor EDC. It has a good clip and nice handfeel
The MAO TS10 is a long time personal favorite for indoor EDC. I also use it as a modding light, and it is excellent as a nightstand light too.

In the interst of learning, can you explain:
“I use the red light to wake up my retinas daily, also for pain relief.”
My understanding is Red Light energizes the mitochondria in our retina, speeds healing, reduce pain and inflammation…
Here are some google links to more info.

How do you use it for pain relief. I know I can google it but how do you personally use it for pain relief. Just curious and if its too private you can pass on answering.
knowing that it is a 219F instead of B, it is surprisingly nice.
I do have a single 1800k FFL351A, I just don’t know what light to put it into, and haven’t seen one lit up yet.
probably a pineapple mini, because my light green one has 219b sw40k currently, and my other purple one has 519a 4000k. my other two are 5000k FFL and sw45k.
I had four more ffl351a 1800k that I was swapping into an LT1 but my hotplate doesn’t get hot enough. big thick mcpcb.
I may swap the pineapple tonight actually.

If you put a cover on it like when you’re cooking something, could it use the air like an insulator and get hotter?
I use the light in direct contact with my skin over sore leg muscless after hiking, and on my back in various places that hurt .
I also use the head of the light to press on sore muscles to help them relax.
for headache I put the light against my head, neck, shoulders…
take a look at this post for more info on use for migraine

You can use candles, or a pan on the stove if you need more heat than a hotplate
I could try that. back when I first started modding, I was using a cheap thrifted electric flat griddle. the teflon was scratched up and I bought it to use to emitter swap.
I bought one of those cheap alix mini hotplates that were all the rage on reddit, but never could get it hot enough. I learned I wasn’t using a 65W+ power supply and that’s why.
honestly for the last few years I’ve just been using a 1.5mm thick square piece of copper being held by a helping hands with a lighter underneath. it’s worked quite well, but too small for anything bigger than a quad. I did a 12x skylumen mule on it and it was a huge pain.
I’m probably gonna have to try to bust out the griddle again, unless I find a good inexpensive power supply+cable. don’t really want to spend the money on it rn

Here’s what I’ve been reaching for lately:
Wurkkos FC11C
Wurkkos TS26S
Emisar D1 v2 with GT FC40
Basically whatevers in arms reach.
Top 3 this week:
D3AA benefits:
DeDomed 4500K is my favorite nightstand and evening CCT. The Aux on the D3AA, set to Red, wont interfere with sleep hormones (Melatonin).
Floor is set to level 5, just enough to walk to the toilet. Memory is set to 2.5 lumens, just enough to light the way before getting into bed.
Benefits of TS10:
Very small and lightweight. Great tailswitch and formfactor for cigar grip. Modded by Master Nate to sw45k, my all time favorite EDC LED.
Benefits of WK03:
Built in charging for 18650. My own mod to 660nm Red and 45° Pebbled Tir. Very handy red light therapy wand for neck pain relief.

mine too, it only works with flat tops
I did not know that Hank will ship without the tall spring, for people that want the button top option. (recommended)

I love my medium blue TS10Max .
People cry about it having such a bad driver and stomp their little foot about Wurrkos not listening to them . I think I’m like Jonslider and don’t run lights hard … I love the look , the feel balance ,tint , andruils features and am old enough to remember how bad drivers really were . For 22$ it’s a spank me good light .
Again I agree with Jon and dislike the beloved fc11c . Oddly long and a light that has me mauling it to find the stinking button . It’s green …and sort of an ugly shiny green .
Favorite lights Convoy S2 original xml 5c 3500k $13 14 yrs ago . Incredibly lovely tint
Lumintop Tool AAA Nichia 219B
25g. w/ a nimh , lighter w/ a lithium primary.
The B in 219B stands for beautiful.

Curious. For what do you use the red thrower?
Red Light Therapy
I use Red light to charge up the mitochondria in my retinas, to wake my eyes up in the morning. I shine it at my face, eyes closed.
I also hold the red light on any sore neck, shoulder, and back muscles, and to relieve headache.
I also find it speeds sore muscle recovery from exercise.
its like my own portable magic healing wand
Red light also works to preserve Melatonin sleep hormones when waking briefly to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
And Red light lets me spot my black cat on the floor. Supposedly cats cant see Red light…
The Red beam is also suitable for walking a trail to an astronomy or firefly viewing meetup. And when camping it attracts less flying bugs.
And before getting into to bed, I ceiling bounce the red light, and set the Anduril sunset timer

How do you make the diffuser? And what do you think of the LT1S? Does it attract bugs or not?
here is a DIY diffuser idea…
