I’m almost wanting to dye my Cruwear Manix scales some type of green. I didn’t get a dyemore green, but surely some sort of mixture of the daffodil and sapphire would work.

Yeah, I forget the original color designation but it’s basically plain. The dyed version almost looks like verdigris.
Kizer has tons of great models. This is an old discontinued model but they are always dropping cool stuff. I just ordered the new Matsu, which looks to be a larger hole-opener with a thin 14C28N blade.
I’ve actually seen people make green with Daffodil Yellow and Sapphire Blue in different ratios. I think one of the ratios was nicknamed “vivid green” and it came out really nice on whatever they dyed. The nice thing with dye is that you can mess around and experiment. Just get a cheapie in as close of material as you can to go first if you aren’t sure. That way, you can do the dye, wash it under the sink with some dish soap and an old tooth drush, hit it with concentrated alcohol and quick dry it with compressed air or a can of dust off to see exactly how it turns out.

… and a “Throwback Thursday” carry for today. Back to basics with some 8Cr13MoV, a Bic lighter, and a plastic pen. The latter is a Sarasa Clip running an Energel refill. It’s my most-used desk pen and it’s easily on its 20th refill. I carried a “disposable” pen in my shirt pocket for decades, though usually a capped model like the Pilot Precise.
This Maglite is a more recent “Spectrum” version that I honestly hate. The old incandescent version was a legit part of life back in the day. Sadly, I lent the original to a family member who stored it with “alkaleaks”…

There’s more contrast in the Chief picture, so I guess it’s more eye catching, but both could be nice advertisment photos that stores might use.

If the top one was actually on a waffle (edible) It might win. The smooth backbone line of the orange one is …well, smoother (it’s cool how the backlock(?) keeps the line). Tank is right about the contrast and quality though.

Thick Washer Bro’s… Just finished a fresh 17° edge on the Pilar 3, probably not gonna do the Proponent today. These have broken in nicely - they aren’t free-swinging, finger-guillotine’s anymore, but nice & glassy.

Half-stop is a great idea!
My preferred version is the ⅓rd stop some Real Steel slipjoints come with - just a little extra room if you ever do cause it to close.
