Not going to be doing the fancy work on the QTRM5TR Doc Brown, decided to move this new one out as I’m miffed at them for misrepping it. I wanted thick blade, tough utility, this is a normal blade and made for more normal duty.
So I ordered a replacement for it today, this one WILL have a .19” thick blade in D2 steel or it’s going back… straight up! lol If it’s what it’s touted to be, I’ll be a happy camper for sure. We’ll see.

I got the little Sanrenmu with the camo handles, neat knife. Seems solidly built and works smoothly. Smallish, but that can be a good thing. (Wish I’d gotten G10 scales, of course)
The other one is a piece of junk. The Belka? Sorriest knife I’ve ever bought, glad it was cheap, I can throw it away and it won’t hurt my feelings.

So how are you liking that BB T4 Dale?
I have been watching some of the things he has been doing in the last year.

The Brous T4 is a very solid knife. Well made inside and out.
I would have elected for the satin finished blade were it available, but the Cerakote will give the D2 some protection for a good while and then I’ll polish it when it get’s looking bad.
The liners are 303 Stainless, the G10 is nice and thick, everything about it is robust and built to be used.

Good to hear, with him having a cabin up here one of the local shops are carrying his items. Not sure how to pay for it with it being this close to Christmas. There is a custom reloader that is for sale that I keep flip flopping over if I want to get.

How do you like your Gnome?
I’ve one en-route from mainland China but the free shipping can take ages, so not sure if I’ll receive mine before Christmas.
On the other hand, the Sanrenmu F1-723 that I ordered at much later date from Hong Kong, also with free shipping should reach me in 1-2 days time pending Custom clearance.

Hi Akhyar - I really like it. The finish on mine was a bit off (some marks etc) but I negotiated a reduction with the seller so I got the knife for £20, which was a reasonable price. The fit is really excellent, blade perfectly centred. The grind is well done and the knife is pretty sharp. It flips open very, very easily, with no fiddling with adjustment or extra lubrication. The lock up is solid at about 50%. The knife is easy to adjust with the huge pivot screw - you can even just use your thumbnail at a push. The jimping is very purposeful and helps with keeping a very positive grip on this tiny but substantial knife. The pocket clip, whilst not total deep carry, is pretty deep.
I only have two slight criticisms: Firstly, the deep choil on the blade pushes your forefinger right against the start of the cutting edge, so it’s quite easy to get a small nick in your forefinger if you’re not careful. You could always remedy this by dulling the final couple of mm of the blade I suppose. Secondly, there is no lanyard hole (and I think this knife needs a lanyard to give it a little extra length - especially if holding it from the second big choil on the scale, without a lanyard you have only about a three finger grip) and the rear standoff is only about 2-3mm from the cutting edge when closed so paracord wouldn’t fit. My friend 8steve88 from these forums gave me a little lanyard woven out of fine leather which I “slipknotted” over the rear standoff and cinched it tight - that works for me as a lanyard and the knife is much better with it. It is very easy to grab the lanyard to tug it from my jeans pocket. Then I can easily open it, even with gloves on. Closing it takes a little bit of getting used to/bedding in because the détente is quite strong.
Overall - a beautiful, practical, classy little knife.

Thanks SP for your detail explaination.
Can’t wait to receive mine. I’ll inspect my knife for any imperfection once I received mine. Hopefully it will be in tip-top condition or I will do the same like what you did, by negotiating with the seller for some reduction.
Actually I was considering the more expensive ZT 0900 or the Spydy Techno for the so-called “little big knife” for my EDC, until I saw this knife at aliexpress.
I began to google about this knife, and read the posting by the original designer at Bladeforum on how he posted the sketch of this knife at Instagram and some China manufacturers began to mass produce this knife using his name without his permission that he finally abandoned this project.
While I don’t condone what the Chinese manufacturers did to him, I don’t think I would be able to buy this knife if it was manufactured for him, as his other designed knives such as the Gratch or Sukhoi are going for around 3 to 4 hundreds bucks direct from Russia.

We’ve got over 8 inches of Snow on the ground. In these conditions, with all the clothes and Gear it’s easier to carry a nice fixed blade. http://www.blademaster.co.nz/ic/1806473355/8305.1.jpg. Ontario SP-2

I grabbed the pic from bladeforum as I don’t have my phone on me.
They no longer sell it with the same pocket clip but the same great functionality
