What could be the cause of my quad built flickering (Kaidomain quad mcpcb, S21A host)?

I recently bought 2 empty quad mcpcbs and a reflowed quad sst20 (same board) from LHT (Kaidomain’s Aliexpress store) to build a quad using S21A as a host. After getting the boards, I soldered the pre-reflowed one from with a Convoy 6A driver. Everything worked fine at the beginning. But after turning on the flashlight for some 30 minutes or so, the light flickered inconsistently like a dying road lamp, and sometime wouldn’t change the mode when I clicked. I swapped in some other Convoy 5A and 6A (about 5 in total) and some amc7135 drivers and it didn’t solve the problem. I, then, desoldered the leds and reflowed them back. The light would stop flickering, but not too long until it started to flicker again and also wouldn’t change the mode sometime. This happens with other 2 quad boards that I reflowed the leds myself too. I thought it might be the drivers but the drivers work fine when I connected them to several other single-led pcbs that I have.

Anyone experienced with this quad board? Could this be my bad reflowing skill? (But the problem also happened with a pre-reflowed board) or drivers incompatibility or a quad board’s issue?

Ps. I just ordered a pack of triple boards from the same store. Hope they will work fine.

I have cleaned the tube and tightened every retaining ring. The flickering problem occurs to just these particular quad boards.

Are you sure it isnt LVP? (Due to the battery?)

No, it’s not the battery. The flicker happens quite erratically with either fully charged or nearly-emptied battery.

Have you replaced the driver wires?

No, they are stock wires. It happens most noticeably on moonlight. When using amc7135*4, sometimes while on moonlight, the light will gradually dim until it is gone, but actual the circuit is not shut down because I can just half click to advance mode). When using 5A or 6A drivers, on moonlight, the light will just flicker and dim and brighten erratically.

Play with the tail cap. Its a grounding issue. Use a multi-meter on amps and see if that fixes the issue?

Can you please explain a bit more about this grounding issue and how can I fix it? If it is a gounding issue, I still don’t get while it works fine with other single mcpcbs and with even a triple mcpcb of Convoy S12. I don’t have a multi-meters.

It could be your reflowing but i doubt it, If two of the quad boards are doing it.
Can you take of the tail cap and bridge it with something to check that is not the issue. Or even take the tail cap of another light and try it on the S21A that has the quad in it?

It could also be your battery might be draining to much current from it?

Try tightening all retaining rings

Which Convoy 6A driver board are you using?

Are the quad emitters being switched on the high side or the low side?
