Rebuilt my beloved little S2+ today. It got my custom mcpcb with 6xXQE royal blue and 3xNTG35 2700k.

I was wondering about these. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen this body tube before? However I only got into lights in late '21 and haven’t bought a new one (or really been on any related forums) for the past 1.5 ish years).
Edited: A google lens search didn’t get it right. it did bring up other lights, but the wonderful ai said they were fishing rod parts lmao

Aaah! Those are from Dawson Machine Craft lights. He’s local to me and I stop by his shop every now and then. He gave me these “scraps” to practice anodizing with.

Also, I have another question. This may be the wrong thread to ask, but do you accept modding jobs?
I have an FW3SS and FW3C/1C that I want to have setup similarly to the lights in this post, but I just cannot get those tiny aux wires soldered for the life of me. I already have all the parts except the AUX LEDs themselves. I was using the LoneOceans ones from OSHPark.
I was considering asking u/Adair21 to do it, but I was permanently banned from reddit due to something I said regarding scalpers in a Lego sub.
BTW, these lights do look amazing. FW serious has always been my absolute favorite 18650 light, even though I got into them too late. I’ve got 7 or 8 I think, all different.
I had figured they would be customs, some of those I really like. I’m starting to almost solely carry AAA/AA size lately after I got this current job.

So far I don’t think anyone else has attempted this exact mod. Some of you may recognize this old light’s pill. planning on turning the light into a triple with aux and Anduril. FW3A driver fits almost perfectly.

Took me a looong time because I was Very Careful not to damage the insulation by pulling on the tiny wires too soon..
Its a great feeling when everything works right. The first time I saw the Aux turn on it made me smile with a sigh of relief that it was all worth it.
the 219b makes a very nice beam with the TS10SG optic.. no bad artifacts in the spill and a nice central beam.
Ive built up a nice selection of modded TS10’s:
a couple thanks to Master_Nate, one thanks to Zwerglein02, and a couple I did myself.. with a few more not pictured, that Ive passed along to loving homes.
