Popcorn can be healthy or unhealthy, depending on how you season it. There’s nothing wrong with unhealthy if you do it sparingly. :wink:

I have tried a number of different toppings and found that the absolute best popcorn is lightly salted with butter, over a very high quality white popping corn. It’s fun to do other toppings, like grated cheese and spices… but the “mostly plain” way is my favored way.

I absolutely cannot stand microwaved popcorn packets. Now, it is possible to microwave naked kernel popcorn and it comes out decently. But AFAIC, stove top is the best way. I don’t live in a high humidity area, but the baking technique sounds like an interesting way to achieve a nice crispness.
