It's obvious to me that Nutritional value and popcorn should not be allowed in the same thread .

But

Lets ask Barbie what she thinks ...:)

I know Barbie has eaten way too many processed foods and because of it has become 100% plastic ... Many have even speculated that this has also contributed to her total loss of genitalia .Even so she still remains beloved by Ken and millions of young children .

This dog was fed Purina Soy blend for weeks before he turned on one of Barbies friends after a sleep over .

I think this is when Billy Jack made Barbie drive her car into the lake ... I could be confused .

Popcorn can be healthy or unhealthy, depending on how you season it. There’s nothing wrong with unhealthy if you do it sparingly.

I have tried a number of different toppings and found that the absolute best popcorn is lightly salted with butter, over a very high quality white popping corn. It’s fun to do other toppings, like grated cheese and spices… but the “mostly plain” way is my favored way.

I absolutely cannot stand microwaved popcorn packets. Now, it is possible to microwave naked kernel popcorn and it comes out decently. But AFAIC, stove top is the best way. I don’t live in a high humidity area, but the baking technique sounds like an interesting way to achieve a nice crispness.

EDIT: I guess I should contribute really. I’m one of those that rarely eat popcorn. Not because of health / nutrition reasons. More because of dental reasons. If I were to have it just a bit of salt is fine. When i was little i used to like Lolly Gobble Bliss Bombs

Back to the subject in question.

I mix white and yellow popcorn kernels.
Air pop it (yes, yes, I know).
Use the air popper to pre-heat the serving bowl – hot as you can stand it.
Land o Lakes real butter – salted. From sticks - not tubs.
Kosher salt from a salt grinder.

And when I don’t have a doctor appt. for a few months —-
The best vanilla ice-cream I can find.
A heavy (and large) glass mug from the freezer.
And my current root beer of choice. Not the fancy boutique kind. They suck at R-B-Fs.
Root Beer Floats.
Nothing is better with popcorn.

Sometimes I live on the edge and make the float using coffee ice cream and root beer.

Then a Deadpool/Godzilla/Alien/Predator movie on the video with the subwoofers on +6db.
Cat on the lap, wife at my side, latest BLF light on the sideboard (ya’ never know).

On the subject of serving size. Whatever is placed in front of me is the serving size, unless you don’t finish yours. Then that’s mine too.

Once, on a bus road trip in college, we found some theater supply place that sold 40 gallon bags of pre-popped corn. This was in the 70s before too much plastic found it’s way into the food chain.
That’s the only bag I couldn’t finish.

I think popcorn is reasonably popular in California and the United States.

Everyone in my family likes it.

We generally watch movies, at home, and enjoy our popcorn.

I always go the Salted Caraaamel.
For Ice cream. Yoghur. cake. Popcorn.

Been using it since it first came out here in Aust. and not yet tired of it.
