Back to the subject in question.
I mix white and yellow popcorn kernels.
Air pop it (yes, yes, I know).
Use the air popper to pre-heat the serving bowl – hot as you can stand it.
Land o Lakes real butter – salted. From sticks - not tubs.
Kosher salt from a salt grinder.
And when I don’t have a doctor appt. for a few months —-
The best vanilla ice-cream I can find.
A heavy (and large) glass mug from the freezer.
And my current root beer of choice. Not the fancy boutique kind. They suck at R-B-Fs.
Root Beer Floats.
Nothing is better with popcorn.
Sometimes I live on the edge and make the float using coffee ice cream and root beer.
Then a Deadpool/Godzilla/Alien/Predator movie on the video with the subwoofers on +6db.
Cat on the lap, wife at my side, latest BLF light on the sideboard (ya’ never know).
On the subject of serving size. Whatever is placed in front of me is the serving size, unless you don’t finish yours. Then that’s mine too.
Once, on a bus road trip in college, we found some theater supply place that sold 40 gallon bags of pre-popped corn. This was in the 70s before too much plastic found it’s way into the food chain.
That’s the only bag I couldn’t finish.
