What you need is a 700mA AMC7135 based driver.

What flashlight are you modding? This red LED is on a smaller board if that's what you need.

Here's a simple driver like Toaster recommended:

...but you could push it a little harder with this one...

thanks toaster and keltex

the flashlight i am modding didnt have a name it was just a cheap ebay purchace named ultrafire, it had slide back and fourth zoom with a 30mm aspheric came with a xml t6 and 3 mode driver

as these leds are chep i just ordered an xpg to solder onto it to see if it was that simple and was very supprized when it worked!! but!! when i put a new 18650 battery in it it started to turn blue and has burned out some of the led! i have now soldered it onto a c8/t20 pill that i have no idea what driver it has but it works fine so i now want to turn this host into a red as simply as possibbe as i am a begginner

the pill on this has a 19/20mm driver but i think it will take a 16/17mm and it will take a 20 mm star

keltex, you say i could push it a bit harder with the second driver? does that mean brighter light?
i read that the reds wont work above 700ma??? this i dont understand but was guna go with it anyway what is MA exactly? does the higher mean more power? i need a guide for dummies

many thanks
