Should be great for most of what you want to do.
Resistance is ~0.0033 ohm for 10 cm. Ampacity is about 25% more than 22 AWG.
Only caveat is if you need to leave slack for a programming clip. I struggle in that case to fit 22 AWG in S2/S6 size pills. No issue with C8 or S2+ pills.
The 20 AWG can be tough to work with, depending. Can be very difficult in some builds (drilling out holes to be wider, extreme care on soldering on the MCPCB because of possible contact to the reflector or other conducting parts, etc.). I still use 22 AWG wires mostly.
Though it may be different stuff than what is spoken of here (I don’t know enough to say), I once got scads of teflon wire for free from cut-offs after a hydraulic elevator install on the job I was on at the time. This formed the link between the car control panel to the equipment in the bottom service pit, as long as the building was tall (6 stories) and there were dozens of separate wires involved. End-of-roll lengths less than a few stories weren’t usable so they dumped it as scrap.
I still have some somewhere but most is gone now. IIRC it was 18ga for the most part, some may have been smaller. It had a slightly heavier than usual insulation and many more strands involved as it needed to flex with the elevator movement, top quality stuff for safety reasons. Should I happen across an elevator installer again I’ll see what happens, perhaps it could be a useful source for budget Flashaholics. Just thought I’d mention it and HTH!
