There was a time when they were releasing a new GT model every 6-8 months that was bigger and more powerful than the last. Now it seems like that series has fizzled out.

I miss that series as well. Maybe the series was threatened by imalent…?
They still make the GT series, GT Nano, GT4695, etc, The big GT throwers were limited production and expensive to make (those big reflectors were very expensive) and they weren’t big sellers after the initial interest either, so they were discontinued. Plus, with the Acebeam K75 still around and Mateminco MT90 Plus/Astrolux MF05 there’s no need to compete anymore. They were cool while they lasted though.
Yes but Mateminco and Acebeam introduced new big lights while Lumintop did not.

Not sure exactly why, but I’m guessing demand was a big driving factor. There wasn’t much of a market for them after the last big GT (the X) and they were working on a GT110 and another high output one with the 46120 cell, but only the GT110 was released.
I guess you are right, the demand for monster lights is low.
Yep, that and LEPs. I reviewed a LEP from an obscure company in 2023 (?). Price from China was $170-$180 US. It threw over 2km with a sub 70mm head and 2x21700. There’s just no demand.
