What happened to my D4?

One emitter clearly isn’t working. Hasn’t happened to me.

Probably just wasn’t soldered to the board properly. Best-case scenario: unscrew the bezel, remove the lens and optic. Desolder the driver wires. unscrew and remove the star. Reflow the emitters on the star. Test it with a battery in a holder touching the wires to the contact points on the star. Reassamble. If all goes well, maybe a 20 minute job to fix.

Yep, happened to me. I did exactly what Firelight2 suggested above. I used a cast iron skillet on the stove for the reflow. Worked perfectly. Still is.

Mine is like this at the moment, with it turnd on low with the lens off if i push the corner of the base of the led it turns back on, just havent got around to a reflow yet.
