What is the best way to charge GITD items?

I have a glow in the dark jawz frisbee on order for my Doberman in hope that this one won’t be destroyed in seconds.

My question is what would be the best way to charge it up quickly in the dark. I’m thinking convoy S2+ with a uv emitter and a conservative driver. My boy gets a little aggressive after the bee so I don’t want to hurt him. I’m sure a bright led or car light would work but I’d rather be able to see after.

He holds a leak to an upcoming thread. Snub mag…

I have always had good luck with UV lights

Close your eyes and give it a blast with any very bright flashlight. S2+ on high will work. Isn’t uv bad for eyes anyways? You will be looking away no matter what

Carry a standalone camera flash… Close your eyes, give it a good blast…

I like to use a cash back rewards card linked to paypal that I pay off every month! :face_with_monocle:

You could get an opaque bag (photographers used to use them for changing film, back in the day, er, millenium)
Put the toy in it with the flashlight, fold it over, illuminate just the target for a bit.
Save your and your dog’s dark adaptation (and your dog’s teeth maybe)

I actually like that idea. Even a white lined dark bag would do the trick. Blast it with 1500 lumens for a few seconds and enjoy the glow and a tired pup.

I ‘paint’ a stripe or two on mine with a UV light held right on it .

That way it looks cool as it spins .

Actually now I’m thinking about one of those hot/cold food transport bags. Mom has a couple, one might go missing next time I head up for dinner.

JK I would never steal from mom… However I bet she would give me one, she loves her granddog.

Why not just smear it with bacon drippings & let the dog have some extra fun?

Dogs don’t see that well anyway, plus GITD doesn’t last very long even if you really soak it with a high-output light. But any dog can smell better than everyone you know & he might actually enjoy it better.

> bacon drippings

I dunno that the smell of bacon would diffuse ahead of a rapidly moving disk or ball fast enough for the dog to rely on its nose to identify its trajectory and leap to intercept it.
Could be. But I think they use their eyes for capturing flying objects.

But I learned long since, paste my opinion into Google before relying on it, so:

Thanks, hank, that was an awesome share!

I didn’t get the sense from the OP that there would be much leaping and intercepting… in the dark…

Whichever way it goes, I’d love to see the video!

You obviously haven’t smelled my dog :open_mouth: Ever tried to give a Pit Bull who hates water a bath? It’s not something you persist with unless you like saliva-coated puncture wounds (which I don’t)!

Phil

Unfortunate. A friend of mine had several pits over the years and they liked water, especially in child size pools.
