What is the most efficient LED for regulated runtime?

I’m wanting an RCR powered p60 torch. I know the host I want, but I want to have the best sustained output. It doesn’t need to be the highest output possible, in fact I’d rather if it wasn’t over driven.

What emitter would offer up the best sustained output?

e.g. XP-E, XP-G, XM-L, XP-G2 or so on?

Thanks.

XM-L2 for Lumen/Power

XM-L2 driven at 3A or less. Down around 1.5A it’s still outdoing the XP-G2 driven full out by a good margin…700 lumens on the L2 at 1.5A vs. 558 on the G2 same amperage. So drive it under the 3A max and get good output as well, should hold up quite well.

Umm sounds promising. Although not wanting anything near 3A tbh. For instant my BLF Mini and Trustfire Z8 (14500 I know). Are pretty crap on high as both only last such a short amount of time. In both cases I’d rather less output and better consistency.

I’d also prefer something that isn’t going to try and cook itself within 90 seconds either.

XM-L2 or XP-G2, first for flood, second for a bit more throw. At moderate drive levels <1.5A, they are pretty similar.

Or a triple. 3 XP-G2 each at 500mA will give you more brightness than one XP-G2 at 1.5A and more runtime.
