So i am sitting here wondering what every ones carry as there EDC?
Being from australia our laws are strict so we are very limited to what we can carry!
Where to start lol!!!
My everyday carry is as follows! It feels more like a get home bag you decide…
Bic lighter (my zippo keeps on loosing gas)
magnesium fire rod
Gerber knife! (small)
Gerber multi-tool (small)
18 in 1 card tool
xtar wk21
Nitecore tube (on my key-ring)
duct tape
cable ties
micro USB cable
klarus CH1
two soshine 16340
para-cord with carabiner
two spare carabiner (use them at gym to when they have none!)
rope saw
medical kit (i made it my self alcohol and sting wipes and band-aids wipes and panadole)
write in the rain notepad and pencil
tactical pen
survival tool it has a signaling mirror, fire-rod, whistle, compass, level, magnifier, hygrometer and thermometer
All this fits into my EDC bag i done a video on it…The video is more so about the bag but i do talk about what my EDC is!
My most used item would be my flashlights the multi-tool and knife (knife is use to cut open boxes and stuff)(not really aloud to carry any knives here so its not always on me!) duct tape and cable-ties always come in handy!
I only carry my wallet, car keys, and a Convoy S2+
Since I travel a lot internationally I am not (legally) allowed to carry any edged or pointy objects, at least nothing in a reasonable size or which can be opened with 1 hand/has auto-locking blades.
I carry a small S.E.R.E kit when camping and hiking (a camera pouch filled with my survival items), carrying a bag everyday is sort of like a man carrying a purse, it is overkill, unless you are keeping your sidearm in it.
I should add that I do EDC , but it is key chain type EDC, and a large folding knife.
No, pockets. I have seldom left my pants at home, but I can say that I have left all the bags I have at home at times… Pockets are always with me… So for EDC it is only what fits, plus some room for if I find some other stuff…. 8)
Aside from my wallet and car keys with a Fenix E05 attached, I also carry either a 47 Quark QPA or Hugsby P31 and a Hugsby XP-1. I also carry a multi tool.
Starts with ‘brain’- I don’t leave home unless it’s fully functional and it stays that way till I lock the home door behind me again. Keys, 2 sets for different things (some dupes) in 2 pockets. Tank007 E09 on one ring, CooYoo Quantum on the other. 2 sets cards and cash in 2 pockets. Cheap SAK and a fighter-knife in 2 pockets. Coins in one pocket, phone, cigs and lighter, and belt finish “everyday”.
Not “everyday” but as wanted I add a bigger light and/or my belt sheath with a modded old Gerber tool, a modded small crescent wrench good to 17mm (11/16”), and it’s own Lithium primary AAA light (currently a Tank 703, getting a better alternative soon). Dual-band Ham HT and my wine bota for water maybe as well.
Beyond that not everyday stuff at all. Always close-by where I can quickly access it is a GHB/BOB and at least 1 gun. I don’t EDC a gun though I can and will if I feel the need to, many to choose from something is always close-by. In CQB my ‘fighter’ is adequate and further away I can bob-and-weave with the best of them exiting the scene. If you’re using your brain well you shouldn’t need a gun and it better let you know ahead of time when you do or it’s not functioning properly. YMMV based on your situation, mine is 98% safe and low-risk, the other 2% I’m ready, willing, and able.
