What kind of car do you drive and why

I would explain in detail who MTG is, but it’s sufficed to say that she’s a controversial politician, so it’s probably better if I stay out of this one. :man_shrugging:

MTG = Magic The Gathering to me and I’ve never even played it lol

Ohhhh, politics. This is why we can’t have nice things…

Thanks, that explanation is sufficient. We live in interesting times. Personally, I prefer dull …

2019 ex NCHP Dodge Charger Pursuit 5.7L hemi AWD. Got a great deal at auction and it’s Hella fast. Mine was most likely used by a supervisor because it has regular cloth back seats and no wall behind the front seats instead of the plastic drunk tank. It supposedly only has 370 horsepower but I and my friends who have ridden in it think there might be a “special police tune” in it. Oh it will also do 155 mph on the certified speedometer. Love the column shifter! It’s my fourth MOPAR going all the way back to a 1970 Super Bee 440 Super Commando engine 2 door post.

MTG just bought Plarium Global ( RPG RAID: Shadow Legends).

You almost got me

2012 GMC Yukon XL. 5.3L V8 gas guzlin hog. It replaces a 2011 (same model) that was totalled when a propane tank truck blasted it from behind as my wife was turning into our mechanic’s shop driveway to pick up our son. Bad stuff. Anyway, the 2011 had the 6.2L engine. That thing was better on gas than the small block we have now. Both beautiful vehicles. Drive like boats and comfy as heck. My wife could have had new, but had her heart set on a clone of V1. She got lucky and found the replacement on Carvana. Arizona based, one owner, no damage, 80K mi, and clean as a whistle. Now 106K with a few round trips to the Gulf Coast and back and forths to the kids in PA from WNY. Serviced on the regular, quality sneakers, rustproofed, garaged, and mother keeps it spotless. Great vehicle.

Sneakers?

A San Remo green 25 BMW Z4 M40i with the Handschalter package.
Why? It’s a very comfortable to drive ,nearly 400 hp in two seater convertible with a manual transmission. What’s not to like?
And it’s much more fun to drive than one of two trucks, or two vans, or a Kabota tractor. Well, maybe not the tractor. Tractors are not only handy when you have a few acres, and a long driveway (almost half a mile) they can be pretty fun.

I used to drive an opel Astra diesel but got rid of it a while ago because it gave me issues. It burnt oil and the vehicle would go into “limp mode” all of a sudden for no apparent reason whatsoever. No matter how many times I brought it to the mechanic the issue would recur probably some issues with the electronics or something. Its brakes used to make a grinding noise continuously even though I got new disks and pads. It sounded like a stone or piece of debris got in there except there was nothing. At that point I just wanted to get rid of the Astra because it’s a pile of scrap. Then I got a 2013 Toyota Corolla diesel. I initially wanted to buy a new one (hybrid) but the CVT transmission is really off-putting so I went with an older one in order to save money and hopefully get something built to last. I was also considering a 4x4 because I like them but didn’t get one because I’ve little use for one right now and whatever stuff I need the trailer for the Corolla will easily pull a small single axle trailer. I’ve had the car for a while now and I’m very impressed. Although it’s older, I got it for very cheap and in excellent condition and without too much mileage. It’s also very comfortable and nice to drive and seems quite economical on fuel.
