Today I carried a keychain light that has dual modes brightness. It is really neat because I can snap into a slightly larger base and use it as a head lamp with greater battery life or I can snap into a hand held base for real significant runtimes. Each base seems to have its own driver with different options for each base. I think when connected to a base it bypasses the driver in the keychain. Then my alarm went off and I had to go to work but the thought has been on my mind all day
The glowing inserts are weak at best. I shot my photo immediately after charging the tubes with a 2000 lumen flashlight. I would have definitely prefered Tritium tubes …

Today was my D3AA that I put in some FFL’s.
But, I’m in Vegas for work and just had to drop into the new Olight store and pick up a Baton Turbo. What a cool light! I like it!

had to check under our car for a rattling noise (heat shield).
put it on, then stuck it in my pocket for the rest of the morning.

Been carrying this for the last week or so, I’m very impressed with how compact it is and I love the UI. I would prefer the 5000K SFT-40 and of course a standard 18650, but I don’t think there’s anything else out there with the same combination of features.
