I am curious. How did you get in touch with Neil? I sent him an email about 6 days ago and haven’t got a reply yet.
Oh… Neil is the name of my Cygnus. The raw aluminum light in that pic.
How’s the beam on the RRT-01 with that emitter? Looks like you have the OP reflector. Mine’s smooth, bought the XP-L version.
Would you know if ordering just an OP reflector is possible from somewhere? All the ones I tried don’t fit, and the SMO is pretty ringy with most emitters I tried. I’m wanting to run an FFL in it.
Old pic but FW3M
The beam is great! Nice hotspot. No donut holes. Great tint.
I really have no idea if you can buy them or not. Never needed to try.
That’s one beautiful FW
Did you anodize that in blurple? Or is just the way the light is hitting it?
Whatever the settings were on the phone. Probably just the lighting, I wanna say it was at 4500K WB and overcast. The KR3 is really more of an almost navy blue, the dragonfly scales are a bit lighter
I had an Oknife Rubato 3, a bugout clone with black coated 154CM with bright orange ano’d honeycomb texture scales. Got it bundled with my orange Arkfeld Pro a few years ago.
I have absolutely no idea where it ran off to, but I’ve been missing it. I currently have no axis lock knives. I almost want another.
K390 SE LeafJumper. Scale swapped with my black VG-10 model, but kept the blue backspacer. Absolute top 5 spyderco for me. It just don’t quit.
I’ve only had it a month, and cut a LOT of fabrics, fibrous material, boxes, just about everything. Absolutely still as sharp as new. If anything, it almost seems sharper. I use the Tri-Angle Sharpmaker for my VG-10 and H-2 serrated blades, but I’m expecting to have to pay too much for the CBN or diamond rods to cut the K390.
I haven’t had one of these myself, but I’ve also seen other rave about this knife and it’s serrations. I wish all Spyderco knives used these serrations instead of the spikey, snaggy serrations like the Dragonfly has.
