What Type of Battery?

Hello,

I ordered the new XinTD C8 V5 XP-G2 and I do not know what type of 18650 battery to use.
2600 mAh, 3000 mAh, 3600mAh or 4000mAh?

Thank you

XinTD C8 V5

Hi MAD king. You will get a hundred different answers here. You could do a lot worse than spending time here with HKJ as he is the best for battery tests amongst other things.

Have a look at the battery tests and there is a comparator there as well.

My personal favorites for a good budget are protected Sanyo 2600 mAh batteries. They hold the current better at higher amperage's than another popular brand. These do come on special occasionally at other places.

The other thing to keep in mind the length of battery your light will take as the protection circuit on some batteries will not allow them to fit some flashlights. Of this I'm not sure on your light. I'm sure the info is out there somewhere though.

There are no 4000mAH 18650's, AFAIK.

Unless you believe in UltraFire and the Easter Beagle.

My favorite for single cell lights is the Sanyo 2600 mah. They hold higher current longer than many other cells, and the are cheap budget priced.

The one battery you should not use is a “4000mAh” 18650.
No such thing. Any 18650 battery labeled as “4000mAh” is complete trash and may very well be dangerous.

3600mAh (highest capacity 18650 available) is uncommon, expensive & not really worth the cost. Most flashlight can’t even get the full 3600mAh out of them.

Thank you guys, esp. MRsDNF.
