New to flashlights, but got some great lights this year. Hard to chose, but the winners are:
D4Svn and LT1.

The Astrolux FT03 and the Emisar D4S V2 have been the standouts for me in 2019.

I would rather have the D80v2 with an XHP50.2, but I don't plan on getting that upgrade.

I’m curious about the SC31b- I’ve never used one, but on paper it seems like the EC01 makes it obsolete. Can you tell me if that is correct? I don’t know why I’d buy or gift an SC31b when the EC01 exists. The SC31b seems to do many things well, but not much extraordinary, or better than the competition.

I’ll throw in the Nightwatch NSX3 NS53A as one of the 2019 pocket rockets that I’m really interested in

Would like to see a category of coolest and most used flashlight of 2019.

For me the Tool 2.0 carry it everyday most days with Eneloop but lately with Efest 14500.

Neatest gadget is without a doubt the Wurkkos WK30 but I do not carry it daily so it has limited use.

The BLF LT lantern is cool as all sheet but will use it mostly in the summer so it also has limited use as of now. Am looking forward the the deflector and some of the other accessories in pre-production.

Most used in bedroom is Sofirn C01S in Raw with the L-H modes, killer tint and just everything about it fits.

Most used for WOW factor is BLF Mini, people can’t believe it and want to know where to get one when they see it.

Also digging on the SST40 BLF D80 but again haven’t really dove into the 347 different settings just yet. Life gets in the way.
Looking forward to Christmas time off to mod some flashlights, have a ton of emitters from the free ship deal a while back consisting of Samsung 351D’s and Luxeon, etc…

Yea, as soon as I got my hands on a tool aa 2.0 I ordered a second as a backup. With a 14500 it has a reasonable amount of light for almost every situation and is compact enough to always have with you.

For some reason I am a tail switch guy. I also like the little lantern ends they come with.

I like inexpensive headlamps better than most flashlights now.

My constant EDC, FW3A. Second place to the Emisar D4S v2, not EDC but a great light as well.

My D4V2 in gold with the SST-20 4k and all of the extras.

I’ve also picked up a minty SC52 ZL and a Jetbeam JET II in purple, but they’re children compared to the Emisar.

Nightwatch Ni40. I know it hasn’t been getting much love, but mine works great and it made all my other similarly sized (and some much bigger) lights obsolete. 4900 lumens and 230,000cd.

2nd runner up is the fw3a. The u/I could use some tweaks in my opinion to make it a little more user friendly but I still really like it.

I’m still waiting on the blf lt1 to show up. Im sure ill like it.

A close 3rd runner up is my acebeam k75. It fulfills my need for a thrower to identify critters at distances that I’ve never been able to before. It’s not so much needing .25 lux on an object 1200 meters away, as it is needing .5 lux on objects 600 meters away. (Excuse me if my math is off). It doesn’t have the greatest heat sinking, and I hate the switch and sluggish u/I. Improve those things and it’s my #1 for sure.

D4v2! None of the problems of the FW3X post muggle mode bug, more output, and aux leds.

Sold my FW3A to a buddy who fell in love. Apparently the tail switch accommodates his EDC.
