It varies for me, but due to the small size and high output, the Wuben E05 (after an emitter swap).

I find this interesting because I found that I was quite unimpressed but that one. I got it and the Sofirm SP10 V2.0 at the same time and even though the Sofirm is much cheaper and not as bright, I find it to be a much nicer to use light.

I like all the suggestions. Thanks. I did order, and am waiting for delivery for the S2 XP-L HI. One of the reasons is because I could order the shorty body and use it with a 18650 or using the shorty body the 18350 which is actually my preferred size for an EDC. My current love affair is with the SolarForce L2M because it can also be used with a long body and a short body and using the L2T head that doesn’t have the hex section makes the whole short body very light and it has a 35MM head and reflector so I get more from the LED. And what is making it even better is now I can buy the triple LEDs and power them with a 18350. But I am very curious about the S2 so I’m anxious for it to arrive.

No , it’s dead ,I’m waiting on neal to sort it out ,he said he will send a new head a few weeks ago but no joy yet , he’s not responding to my emails anymore.

From what I hear, you’ll get it. Too bad we are starting to get failure reports. No common theme though. It would be a PITA to lock out the FW3A at the tail cap every time.

EDC is my Fenix LD02. Walking around the house at night a BLF A6 in CW.
I am surprised more have not mentioned the A6. It is an excellent light.
I paid 17.85 for it on sale from banggood. It took nearly a month to arrive!

My hot EDC picks are three Convoys: M1, S2 and S2. Not the current top of the line, but they’re cheap, sturdy, bright enough for me (I plain and simple have no need for 1000 lumens), pocketable, and extremely versatile with Biscotti.

No.

They are about the same size and shape, but they are completely different flashlights.

The BLF A6 is the same as the Astrolux S1. (except the Astrolux S1 package includes an extra 18350 tube)

I have been carrying a BLF A6 for years…so long that the anodizing has practically worn off, no longer black but grey…still kicking and making buckets of light
Did a spring bypass when I first got it…haven’t looked back

My clear S2 XP-L Hi arrived. I am very pleased. The flashlight is as expected high quality. Fit and finish are excellent. I like the clear (silver) finish. The XP-L Hi LED is very powerful since I chose the 7135x8 driver, It is actually brighter than my Solarforce L2M with a Fasttech XP-L Hi drop in because that drop in is only 2200mA. ( I have to start building my own XP-L Hi drop ins for my L2Ms to get more lumens.)

What I especially like is that I bought a shorty body so I can use an 18350 instead of the 18650 and make the flashlight smaller and lighter. That makes it perfect as an EDC.

Thanks for everyone’s help I wouldn’t have found this without this platform.
