I currently use a Sipik SK68 for my EDC because I like it's throwing ability for it's size. But I'm wanting to try some other lights. I really like the Zebralight SC600, but it's too floody for my taste. What are some good tiny throwers?
Hmm... I'm thinking something with an XPE driven at ~1.25A... eagletac T100C2. I borrowed one for an evening, surprising how well it throws for such a small light. Along those lines, for 2AA the Fenix E21 also throws out a pretty tight spot in the middle.
I'd go with something XR-E based but well driven (at least 1A). I don't have any specific light recommendations because I never had need or want for one.
My wife is very happy with her RC-GC but her purse has not been kind to the finish -[edges mainly]. It now has a base, powder, rouge & who knows what patina. I run lithium in it. I own the XP-G NW & have been very pleased with it but it seems to always bench warm with the relative size UF 2100 not that much bigger [imo].
Well it depends what driver and what emitter I guess, the one I posed it for standard AA.
Is there a link to the one you bought somewhere? I know of at least 5 versions and thats only on 2 sites, there could be more.
But I would say if it says you can use a 14500 you probably could but if its just going to sit in your wifes handbag I'd probably just use some alkalines or LSD rechargeables.
I also was looking at the Egletac T100C2 but found mixed informations on XPG and XPE versions.
Which one is better? To my limited understanding the XPG version has more lumen (425 Vs 220) but the XPE is more throwy, is it correct? Also not sure, I saw on youtube both OP and SMO reflectors?
