What's the Special Day in Your Country? 11.11 has Special Meaning in Our Country...

Hi guys,

Do you know the meaning of the day on 11.11?

In our country, 11.11 means the special day for single people who want to get rid off the single status and find a life partner. While some succeed, others failed. Then, the next 11.11 is their goal…to have a girlfriend or boyfriend…

Every year on the day of 11.11, there is a big discount at online shopping stores, so many people are waiting for the day…Our website focalprice.com also offers various discount goods these days.

What’s the special day in your country?

Have a nice day!

Best Regards,
Candy

If they're spending all day at the computer looking for sales, how are they going to meet anyone? Plus, if they do, they're too broke to go on a date.

I have heard of it called Bachelors’ Day . Here it was Remembrance Sunday .

They will buy everything double ( give surprise to the other) , no matter single or not, one for themselves, and the other for their partner or partner-future.

They will go out watch movies that buy (50% off) from the website, and have dinner (also has discount)…It’s the great time to say love to another…

Yes, it called Bachelors’ Day in our country.

In Australia it’s Remembrance Day, the day the nation has a minute of complete silence (at 11am) to show respect to those who have given their life during times of war.

A bit more serious than finding a girlfriend / boyfriend…I thought that was a joke…

You have no “location” listed, so we have no idea what country you are referring to?

I wish all members would post their location, I feel it would make things more interesting here in our community. So few do, and I have always wondered why.

One of my favorite days is “Veteran’s Day” here in USA. It was on 11/11 this year.

Indeed serious than the day on 11.11 in our country. :star:

Thank you for that. Yes, indeed more serious.

I took my 95 year old Dad to a ceremony recognizing the Veterans at his nursing home. Most all of them were WW2 veterans, a group that is disappearing on a daily basis.

I was so proud for him.

Here is a link to a column USA Today ran on the subject. Just 1.7 million veterans left. We are losing about 600 a day. The twilight of WWII veterans' generation: Column

Thanks for sharing that Sunday. I've often wondered what was special about 11/11. That's nice.

Here in the USA almost everyday is declared to be a special day for something. One of my favorites is Thanksgiving Day (4th Thursday in November). I like it because it is a day to be grateful of all our blessings (like the fall harvest) and it also represents a day where people should put aside differences and break bread together. And, it doesn't require the exchange of gifts like Christmas and Valentines Day.
