Our mountains got a little snow last night, but not enough to count for much. Virtually all the snow we had in November has melted. I can drive forest roads that are dry and bare, which should be impassable. Last I saw we only had 17% of the snow we should have by now. Not looking good for this year. It has been unseasonally warm.

Yes I think Colorado state wide average snow pack is close to 50% of normal. The front range area much lower. If we don’t get buried in snow for the next 4 months, this will be a big problem this summer.

I took the Christmas decorations down this week and one of the trees was starting to bud here in northern Illinois. Winter got off to a cold snowy start but it’s been warm here the last few days.
killed a mosquito today.
