Where can I get a 16650 rechargeable battery?

Only ones I have seen were at Int Outdoors.com.
Anybody know of others?

It would be great in my ET P20C2MKII instead of the Low Capacity 17670

i’m confused

16650 would be higher capacity than 17670?

Is that even a size?

Wouldn't a 16650 actually have less capacity than the 17670? (16mm x 65mm vs 17mm x 67mm) Less volume = less chemical = lower capacity...

2100mAh for the 16650 from Intl-Outdoor, 2200mAh for the 17670 from Manafont...

17670 from Manafont has ~1400mAh real capacity.

16650’s have higher capacity because they’re made by Sanyo, reputable Japanese Li-Ion manufacturer, while 17670’s are made by small Chinese factories.

I use the 16650s from Intl-Outdoor. I think they’re the cats ass. They’ll slide into anything that will take two CR123s. I run them in my quarks and eagletac D25C2. If a 17670 is too fat…these will fit.

I too have a pair of the protected 16650’s from intl outdoor. I use then in my Klarus NT20 as its too narrow for an 18650. They also fit the 2xCr123a holder for my EagleTac D25LC2 Mini. Obviously less capacity than an 18650 but good quality cells. I think HKJ gave them a good write up too.

yeppers folks, the 16650’s beat the 17670’s big time in capacity because of their engineering.

Hoping there were some in the country…this China wait thing is gettin old fast.

The 16650’s are designed for a 4.3 V charge to get maximum capacity. But even charged to 4.2 V they beat the 17670’s that I have seen.

Bingo! there allan They’re a perfect replacement for 2 cr123 battery tubes where 18650 is too large.

I have two of the Sanyo 16650s for my Streamlight Scorpion that I modded for a P60 drop-in.

I had to bore my ThruNite Neutron 2C… :zipper_mouth_face:

I’m guessing you got them from Intnl. Outdoors?

Did you get the (black ones) button top protected? The unprotected (red ones) look to be FlatTop.

I can’t find any in the good ole USA .

sorry, meant to quote you allan and ask:

There is also a Panasonic model UR16650ZT but I cant find much about it, most of the search results go to Sanyo batteries but its not surprising seeing as they are the same company now.

Yes they came from IO and I have the unprotected ones. I normally use unprotected cells in my single cell lights, they all have low voltage protection in the driver.

So the unprotected red ones on IntNl Outdoors are of the button type? Could not tell by their pics…they looked flat.

No, the unprotected ones are flat top.

Oh, ok. my bad. So I’ll need the protected black one coz the EagleTac won’t take flat tops .
