B&H Photo/Video has good prices and some packs have free shipping. I've dealt with B&H, but never for Eneloops. (In fact I don't own any Eneloops, unless you count the single pack of AAA Duraloops I just got from Target.)
I got my last package of 8 eneloop 2000mah at dell.ca here in Canada. They’re just under $20CDN when they go on sale. Don’t know if dell.com (USA) carries them. I think I’ve bought from Costco before as well.
On a similar note, I’ve got the Duracell equivalent (white ring around the button top) variety and find them to be just as good. I think there’s another thread going on for four packs for under $4 at Target.
i agree, i just noticed a few days ago my duracell ones are white topped like the duraloops, and i have determined them to be my best non eneloop cells, but i don’t have a way to confirm they are without a doubt
I have only bought a single pack of 3rd gen Eneloops AA and a single pack of 3rd gen AAA. At nearly $3 a battery they’re too expensive for me. I can get Duraloops on sale, which is what I have been buying. Not very many of my lights use AA anymore, and I’m not OCD enough where I have to replace all my current batteries with “the best.”
I guess it depends how much they are but say comparing 1st gen prices bought domestically to 4th gen if the prices are similar then import 4th gen if you can it’s worth the extra ~1000 cycles.
I get mine from Costco. Last time I purchased them, about 8 months ago, they were on sale for $15.99 for 10 second gen cells. Their normal price is $19.99. BTW, they still have AA Eneloops at my Costco.
All of mine are from Amazon, I wait for a deal, but so far missed them all. I have a shelf of aging NiCads and NiMh, but we have a number of low current devices, clocks, remote controls, plus travel and rare use flashlights, so regardless almost on cost its worth it for the low discharge rate. I just can’t quite talk myself into recycling all the still working old style cells.
