The XD16 has been out for a while now, and I still cannot find them for sale at places that I know(Mountain electronics, Gearbest, Banggood etc.)
Specially I am looking for XD16 on Noctigon XM16 MCPCB.
How long it typically take for newly release LED to be widely available to us flashlight plebs?

Literally never gonna happen, the XM led’s have a center thermal pad and are 5050 size(5mm x 5mm), the XD series only have 2 pads (no center thermal pad) and are 1616 size (1.6mm x 1.6mm). They use the same solder pads as the XQ series. They may technically be classified as a high brightness LED but are more along the lines of what we consider medium power, like say the Nichia 276A is considered.
I see, I guess what I am really looking for is just a ready to use XD16 on a <16mm PCB. The Noctigon 16mm PCB just happens to be the only one I come across.
It’ll take some intricate soldering but technically this would work.
I can’t state enough it won’t be an easy soldering job trying to center a 1616 emitter on pads for a 3535 LED but I personally wouldn’t hesitate to try if I had a need for that particular emitter.
