I am also looking for some vendor for that emitter So please anybody... XP-E2(new generation of cree green led) would be appreciated.
I have first gen XPE(green) and they are not impressive neither there is any light gain above 1,5A of current or very slight gain when de domed (xre pry off method).
Searching around thwe internet I came across this Portugal based aquarium website that has the green xpe2 and quite some other interesting leds nowhere else found (e.g. the lime Rebel  ). The shipping costs are unclear though:
I tried buying leds from that website, and did not succeed because Paypal found security issues. Pity, because it looks like a legitimate seller :-( btw, shipping a few leds to the Netherlands was €4.75
I had problems paying through paypal, so I sent them an email. They responded within a day, and had solved the problem. Just now I ordered three leds, I will report here when I receive them.
I must say that their website is very clear, they mainly sell leds, focussing on some higher cri and colour Cree xpe2 and xpg2 and Rebels (for aquarium use), and the information on the leds is pretty complete. The minimum order is €15 and shipping to the EU is €4.75.
you will be getting a rather poorly performing green xpe2. According to cree data sheets xpe2 green starts out at Q2 bin 87.4 lm@350 mA and goes up to R3 bin 122 lm 350mA. The xpe2 green linked above is a 901 spec'd at 80.6 lm 350 mA. lower than the lowest.
Also according to cree data sheets the 901 p4 bin green xpe2 does not exist. so something is not right. buyer beware.
You are right, the partnr. refers to the green XP-E led, not XP-E2. I checked a few other leds on the site, and apart from a clearly wrong picture at the amber xpe2 (partnr.=correct) there were no other mistakes. I made an order of three leds, but not the green xpe2, so I can not check which one you actually get.
