Which Flashlight makers are out of business as of January 2018

I don’t think so. They’ve removed every product from their storefront a week before itself whereas other sellers on Ali just left a note on the store main page that they won’t be shipping from some date onwards until the festival is over.

This happens from time to time with some stores. Last year, the Elfeland store removed everything and now they are active again! Simon from Convoy did the same thing last year by this time, and then he returned in the same store as well!

I guess this is a strategy. Don’t think EagleEye went out of business, despite that’s the only “official” store I’ve seen from them…

Ah I see… looks like Ali needs some improvement, Ebay notifies buyers when a seller is away so that you don’t have to take down the entirety of your wares.

dereelight was really not bad brand…but no marketing…last time i.heard about them was eight years ago…and i see that noone of the local sellers sell their products.they are not interesting now i.think.but it was really not bad…we can.sdd to the dead ones maybe also sipik brand?...

Brinyte is most definitely alive, although not particularly popular, they seem to specialize in diving lights. The B158 was a very popular throwing light last year on BLF, due to a nice swappable pill.
Check out their lights at Brinyte Flashlights, Hunting Light, Tactical Flashlight

Their website shows only three dealers. A closer look reveals that their UK dealer no longer has any stock.

It takes a lot of thrust, resources and stamina to keep a brand alive. A few of the best had to throw in the towel.
Maybe they got into a niche-market they were not able to come out of (4sevens).
We have had the pocket-rockets, we have had the soda can lights. Now we are getting into the super throwers?
That would benefit Dereelight, if they still are manufacturing. But maybe they are just selling from (old) stock.
And they are (were) specialised in making lights with lenses.

As for the SIPIK SK68. That seems to have turned into a generic brand. Like the Ultra SIPIK SK68.
It seems only a year ago I found they had a website, but not any more.
It used to be a great little light. But others could make something like it for less money. And less quality, of course
First they “borrowed”the SK68 bit, then they even called it a SIPIK. Now it is more or less just another word for rubbish.

i bought many sipiks sk68 direct from the sipik manufactory.and no problem.original sipik, which of course you cant know which is it on ebay or so is very ok.also ultrafire sk68 with xml led from kaidomain…bright and no special problems…of course customised driver…

i cant understand the fall of relatively good brand Spark….and also Dereelight…

I miss Spark brand
It has the one of the best true HAIII anodization in the industry. The model is simple and reflects a workhorse. Tough, efficient, and reliable. The rough machining marks combined with its natural ano finish is my favourite, very grippy even covered in mud.

Sorry for waking up a thread that’s been asleep since 2018 — I’m only
here because “Dereelight DBS” is on the list above.

To be fair to the list: the DBS did stop being made. That part was
correct.

Dereelight didn’t close, though. Same factory in Shenzhen, same
people, building since 2007. What happened is that we moved nearly all
our capacity into wholesale, OEM and ODM work and let the retail side
go quiet — including here. So the light went, and then our name went,
and it’s fair that people read that as the company going.

It didn’t. If you have an old Dereelight and want to know anything
about it — a driver, a pill, whether we can still build the part —
ask me and I’ll answer straight.
