This is stamped “Made in Germany” on the bottom and is stainless steel, it is about 4” long and 5/8ths inches wide, I don’t know which battery, or batteries it takes since the size is odd, it is thin walled.
I’m also curious about the clip, it seems to have a dual function, I think a pencil lead fits into it.
I have never seen this before, but could you make some better pictures? I would post the link to this thread in a german flashlight forum. Maybe someone else know this.
Usually flashlights have AAA, AA, C oder D cells. The diameter and length could be an indicator for two AAA.
If you screw out the bulb, you will find some information on it, which could help.
I’m sorry about the photos, but this is the best that i can do right now, it is why I have put off for so long posting the question, but tonight I decoded to go a head and getting something up, to see if I could get lucky, thanks for your help.
The bulb is labelled as 2.2 volts, and it has that funny shape that I hope you can see.
how did you come by this light?
I help out in a Christian thrift store and it came in with some junk, so I bought it.
I have no idea of it’s origins or history. The bottom twists off and is stamped with “Made in Germany”. The battery tube is (almost) 3 and 3/4 inches long, and about 5/8ths inches wide in the interior.
Beautiful light!
Might get difficult with no fabrication stamp on it.
Reminds me a lot of the map-reading lights made in the first 30…40 years of the last century. They typically would have a thick convex glass lens in front of the bulb.
(looks something like this )
