Which is A Better Option for Rechargeable Flashlight?

I need an easy EDC torch with very low lumens, and easy to charge.
Got a list including Nitecore MH12, Klarus RS11, Fenix UC35…but hard to narrow down.

Can anybody give me some ideas?

For the klarus u have to consider the fact that for built in charging u can only use the klarus custom 18650. The fenix has a low of 14lms the klarus is 4life. The nitecore at about 1lm according to manufacturer specs. Ask yourself whether u need throw or flood or run times and also maybe your budget

Most lights, except a few CR123a lights, can take rechargeable batteries.
For a small low output light, I like the SS-5039 with a NiMH AAA cell, http://www.banggood.com/Smiling-Shark-SS-5039-3W-LED-Mini-Flashlight-Torch-1+AAA-p-76699.html . It is very cheap and has unusual feel and looks for an AAA light. I don’t like the way most AAA lights are either cylinders or different size cylinders joined by short curved sections. I consider it to be a superb example of NC lathe programming, because of its graceful curves and because of the interesting grippy surface.

Good Day TheThor,

Suggest you consider the just released Nitecore MH20:

Easy recommendation... Olight S20R

Just found a great review about the comparison. The 2 MH are quite easy for charging and don’t need battery charger any more.

MH20 got a little bit higher price and so small…might be hotter in a long time use?

I tried all these flashlight (MH10, 12 and 20). MH12 and MH10 are the same flashlights, only the tailcaps change. MH20 is different, with a bigger and heavier head, so it’s possible to use high level without problem. But it hasn’t a battery included.
At the end I prefer th MH10 model because is slim, light, with battery included and a good price with coupon.

Ciao

Johnny hit it on the head :). First....the UC35 is the same as the MH10..$20 difference in money between the two Nitecore models.

The reason why the Olight is a better rechargeable is due to the charging dock. Just think if cell phones and their micro usb charging connections. Eventually they get loose and worthless. That will not happen with the Olight.

Carrying a charging dock when on the move? I don’t think so.
Definitely go for mh12. non-propriety charging port is really flexible.

More than the typical capacity of an 18650 is a lot of usage. Except when working most people do not use that much light and even the OP did then there would not be enough time to recharge. The solution to that would be to get a a usb charger like the Xtar and an extra battery to swap out. It is a whole lot cheaper and easier to replace and MC1 charger than it is to replace a light that has ended up with a useless charging port.

At work we are testing the UC35's and UC 40's, and in my area an MH10 that I threw in the mix. Their benefit to date is that they are fitted with 3400mah batt's as compared to Streamlight's proprietary LG with 2100mah. As I said...charging ports are getting loose and when they need to recharged via the internal port then the light is out of commission for the rest of the shift.

The Olight is still a better light and if one needs more juice on-the-go better off to add an MC1 and extra 18650

+1 Have to agree. Mostly, because I have an Olight S20, and I love it! The S20R, with a dock? Awesome!
