Which is pos & neg ?

I received a XM-L2 LED from FT but the markings on it are not readable. Pos & Neg connections not marked very clearly & I cannot tell which is which.

How can I distinguish which is the pos & which is the neg ?

Will I damage the led if I get them the wrong way around ?

I think the pos connection is the one closest to the 2 wires connecting into the LED but I’m not sure.

There is a + sign on the positive side…
