Which lights are currently available that have a Nichia 219?

L3 illumination L10 from sbflashlights is probably cheapest light available with the 92 CRI nichia 219 (not all 219s are high CRI)

EDC+ has exclusive Xeno F7 (18650) and E03 (14500) stock with 219s. They have a triple 219 p60 drop-in that is sick too.

I believe the new high CRI Peak brand lights use nichia 219s now… they are not very budget, but made in the USA.

I believe that this is one of the best Nichia 219 lights out there. A deep smooth reflector with an immaculate beam profile. An 18650 torch with high quality machining and anodizing. This Light outthrows any Nichia I own, and I have quite a few. I cannot believe that these have not been all snapped up for $39.

Yup, Believe the modes are 200 / 90 / 8 lumen according to Xeno. Nichia 219s don’t take a ton of current like XMLs… This does make for long runtime though.

Around 100 OTF I’d say.

But an AA light with a 14500 and a proper driver is a whole new ball game.

I ordered that P60 from them, but wasn’t paying attention, and ordered the one with a smooth reflector by mistake. It has to be the ugliest, ringiest beam profile I have ever had. I removed and changed the reflector to OP, and now its OK. Basically, you can build the same dropin for about $12.

I put one in a Thrunite Saber. It puts out 90 lumens on an alkaline. None of my Nimhs fit in the tube.

Thanks, for the driver from fasttech you linked, at 1400mA I assume it’s ready to go for Nichia219 use? (in the build thread by Uldzha that I linked he removed 4 chips from the nanjg 105 Driver to bring it down to 1520mA, that’s where it got a little sketchy for me to attempt)

Also do you know of any Nichia219 available already on a 16mm MPCB or would it have to be reflowed onto one?

Have you tried building one of these yet?

I haven’t found any mounted on 16mm MPCBs. I just reflow to the size I want.
