Yep, The Forbidden Kingdom is on my list.
I'll eventually get it and watch it, though I don't know when.
Just goggled it. Unno, might have to give it a whirl. I tend to like “bad” movies, unless they’re genuinely bad.
Always liked Stephen Dorff (since “The Gate”), and it’s got Vernon Wells in it!!! He’s wonderful!

good, classic adventure movies
Have you seen Evil Roy Slade (1972)? How about Ratpocalypse (2015)? The former is so bad it’s almost good while the latter is so bad it’s fascinating, but still bad.

This kinda reminded me of when I saw the 1993 Three Musketeers (1993) in the theater with my friends. We thought it was ok, but with the cast it should’ve been much better, and we ended up remembering, and watching, the 1973 Three Musketeers (1973) version because we all remembered it being a better film. As such, I remember 1977 The Man in the Iron Mask (1977) being better than this remake
I watched both the 1973 and 1993 Three Musketeers films a year or two ago in the same week. I agree that the 1973 version is the superior film. I thought the finale of the 1993 version was way over-the-top and ridiculous; that’s the main thing I remember about that film actually.
I think I’ll rent the The Man in the Iron Mask (1977), thanks for mentioning it. :+1:
BTW have you seen that abomination from 2011 with Logan Lerman? :confounded:

Yeah, I love horror movies, so I have more of those than other genres.
I have some foreign horror movies, as well.
I plan to get some foreign non-horror movies eventually.
I also plan to get a bunch of Jackie Chan films because he does such crazy stunts in his action films.
I saw a special about Jackie Chan years ago.
In one movie, he broke his foot early on doing a stunt. Shot the rest of the film in a cast disguised to look like an athletic shoe.
Another part showed how some of his incredible tricks were done - like adding hidden steps or ledges to prop walls etc. so it looks like he climbs them like magic.
Also showed out takes of stunts. Man o man did he take some punishment during his films.
His older “Drunken Master” films are great fun.
All the Best,
Jeff

Deliverance - My doctor used to joke about “Que the banjo music”
During the part of the exam that requires that rubber glove.
If you can find a doctor with a sense of humor - most have one but never let it out in front of patients.
I’m sure they are always thinking -
Is is funny or Malpractice?
All the Best,

Yeah, out of all the Jackie Chan movies that I've seen, my favorite are the two "Drunken Master" movies.
(Although the later one is strangely not a sequel to the earlier one.)

I think I have a man crush on Jackie Chan.
There are a number of actors that are excellent in martial arts movies, but I love watching JC in action.
Even if the movie is mediocre, at least I get to watch JC do his thing.

Better than telling you to squeal like a pig.
No to ERS, but it seems to have a 7.1 on imdb and decent comments. Looks oddball enough to give it a look.
I might actually have Rat tucked away somewhere on one of my NASes, but don’t recall watching it. Overview sounds hella interesting, though!
And for those bandying it about, nfw would/could I watch any Iron Mask flicks, as the just the idea creeps me out. What if my head itches? What if I gotta sneeze? Eww, what if I puke? Nope nope nope nope nope. That just nasty. Naaaaaaasty.

That reminds me of a friend I had in high school.
He was into comic books, and he really liked Spawn, which was new at the time (early 1990s).
He thought it was hilarious that Spawn had his mask on, got grossed out by something, and then spewed in his mask.
I never got around to reading much of Spawn, so I don't think I saw that specific comic.

I saw it yesterday, then the next day, then the next day, etc.
It took a while, but eventually I got out of that time loop.

I saw Ginger Snaps (2000).
This movie is bad.
The acting is not very good.
The music is okay.
The creature effects are not very good.
The acts of violence are always extreme close-ups, so you can't tell what's going on very well.
The plot isn't that great, and the movie is not very entertaining.
The ending is a real letdown.
For now, I think I'll skip the 2004 sequel and the 2004 prequel.
