Which movie did you watch lastֻ

Primate is the new kinda/sorta version of this one:

Shakma is not a good movie (plot, acting, etc.),
but it is “stupid” fun to watch and fast forward
the boring or rewind the gore.

I’m not saying it’s a horrible movie…just that plot-wise, there was nothing left to do with Breaking Bad. The show wrapped it up perfectly, IMO.

I saw Predator: Badlands (2025)

This movie is great.
The acting is quite good for an action/sci-fi flick.
The music is excellent.
This movie is quite different from the previous Predator movies, but I like it.
It’s kinda surprising that I’m recommending two different Predator movies that were released in 2025.
I mean, the series is almost 40 years old, and it’s still delivering strongly.
Not many franchises can claim that AND release two great movies in one calendar year.

I saw Nuremberg (2025).

This movie is excellent.
The acting is superb.
The music is suitable for the genre.
I’ve seen a lot of World War II movies, but I’ve never seen one like this.
The movie is mostly about three things.
It’s about the politics and the behind-the-scenes of the Nuremberg trials.
It’s about the psychology of some former German leaders shortly after the war.
It’s about the courtroom drama of part of the Nuremberg trials.
A word of warning, though:
There are disturbing real images and videos from concentration camps in this movie.
I know that the images and videos are real, but I’ve seen enough of that sort of thing to last me a lifetime.
Changing gears, I especially liked the ending of the movie.
My response to the final quote of the movie is another quote:
“History Doesn’t Repeat Itself, but It Often Rhymes” – Mark Twain

EDIT:
I forgot to mention that the vast majority of the movie is in English.
There is a bit of German, and there are no subtitles for most of the German, but that is intentional and the movie is easy to understand even with the German.

Three tits? Awesome.

Secret Mall Apartment

Cool story and nothing like I had thought it would be.

This movie is great.
The acting is top-notch.
The music is very good.
This movie is politically charged and will not appeal to some conservatives.
The bass levels are quite high in some scenes.
When I listen to most media, I have the bass boosted in two different ways because I like bass.
For this movie, I had to disable those bass boosts.
The plot of this movie is well-thought-out.
The movie is pretty long, but I was on the edge of my seat for most of it.
Overall, I enjoyed this one.

The Order (2024) with Jude Law, a movie set in 1984.

To me, those beams look like modern LEDs - did cool white lights like that even exist in 1984?

I saw The Rule of Jenny Pen (2024).
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6874690/
This movie is bad.
The acting is excellent.
Most of the music is annoying.
The movie takes place in a rest home, and most of the visuals and audio are unpleasant.
The majority of the film is slow, uninteresting, and not entertaining.
I admit that some scenes are good, but overall, I regret watching this movie.

Last night I saw “Spies in Disguise” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spies_in_Disguise
This missus (generally) likes animated movies and I thought I humer her. It failed and so the dog and I watched it.
It’s a nice film with the voice of Will Smith in his pre-slap era. Just family fun. Like for me and my dog :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

yes, Alien was a remake.
kinda/sorta.

I watched “The Wrecking Crew” on Amazon last night.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt33046197/

It was entertaining. Set in Hawaii it had some spectacular cinematography. Atmos sound was pretty good too. Jason Momoa sort of played a beer guzzling clown. Which was a bit overdone at times.

But it was entertaining. IMDB shows a 6.5 out of ten. I think I would give it an 8.0. Worth a watch if you like an action movies with plenty of hand to hand fighting. Along with a few good explosions mixed in.

White LEDs were invented in 1993, so no.

Very good movie. 8/10
Great camera work, insane music from Tangerine Dream.
All just fits. Michael Mann good as usual.

This movie is excellent.
The voice acting is great.
The music is superb, which is crucial for a musical.
The human characters are animated at 12 frames per second, which is a bit choppy, but the animation is still impressive.
Parts of the plot are nonsensical–the plot is the weakest element of this film.
Overall, I enjoyed this one immensely.

I saw I Swear (2025).
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt31514146/
This movie is good.
The acting is excellent.
The music is great.
The movie is based on a true story about Tourette’s syndrome.
I knew very little about Tourette’s before watching this film.
Parts of the movie are frustrating, depressing, or not very entertaining.
The end of the movie is perfect, though.
Overall, the movie is more educational than entertaining.

I saw Primate (2025).
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt33028778/
This movie is bad.
The acting is not very good.
The script is idiotic.
The plot is too simplistic.
I didn’t care for the majority of the music.
There is a chimp in the movie.
The chimp is not real, which is fine, but it also doesn’t look real and it doesn’t move realistically.
The movie is slow and it is not entertaining.
Some movies that aren’t that great have good violent scenes.
This movie’s violent scenes are also bad.
Although this movie didn’t get anything right, I have seen worse movies.

This one’s a favourite with my daughter, I watched it with her recently and enjoyed it a lot. The plot does sort of take a back-seat to the music but the music’s excellent.
