When converting a C8 with an xml2 to an xpl2 , can I reuse the same reflector (9mm hole) and just change the gasket to a xp model or should I change the reflector too?
Should both be in about the same focal plane, so ring-spacer alone should be fine.

You don’t need to do anything to the reflector.
Where the chip sits above the mcpcb (that the reflector rests on).
Need to pull the LED out of the reflector, coat the bottom of the spacer with a little nail-polish. Need to push the LED farther into the reflector, sand down the bottom of the spacer.
Ok , sounds like a little trial and error process.
