The L2P I recently got has hands down the best finish I have ever seen on a flashlight. It is a nice matte black and looks expensive and feels like quality. I have noticed other Solarforce models but they don’t seem to have matte HA3.
Basically, I love this finish and want to know what other lights have it. It doesn’t have to be from SF as long as it is a quality light and not called HA3 but really isn’t.
I have ordered several parts - tailcaps and heads - that have the HAIII finish, but the L2P is the only complete torch body on the site that has HAIII, as far as I can tell.
+1 Those tactic tailcaps are HAIII as well.
Anyway, 2012 version of L2 has mate finish 
(not HAIII but visually, very similar. Don’t have L2 to compare myself though)
What I did after I got my first L2 complete, is order L2T and L2M battery tubes by themselves, and then HAIII heads and tailcaps that I liked. L2TP! L2MP!

If the L2P is the only matte HA3 then that at least makes my decision easy. Another L2P it is then!
