Yup. Nichia. I just got mine so no damage yet. Might try to put some tape on in case now that you mention it.

I think white lights are the best looking ones. That L10 looks awesome. I have a thing for white and I want an XP-G2 EDC light.
The L10 is pretty sweet. Hopefully my finish will hold up a little better than Jacks. 
If you like it hit up sbflashlights. Pretty sure they have white xpg2 in stock. I have been thinking about getting one to hang out with my nichia one.
