Wider TIR options for HD10/TS10?

I’ve been daily carrying an Eagletac D25C (with diffusion tape) for years and using an Armytek Wizard (warm/wide) for almost 10 years and the Wizard is starting to crap out so I began looking at options instead of just purchasing another and thats when I discovered Wurkkos. I ordered an HD10, FC11C and TS10 and received the HD10 and FC11C so far which are great lights, especially at the price, but the TIR in the HD10 is not nearly as floody as I’d like. For a headlight, I want nearly no hotspot and my peripheral vision should be illuminated almost as much as where my head is pointed. The Wizard optics are PERFECT for a headlamp IMO but I really like the features and small form factor of the HD10 and would like this to be my new go to. Are there wider TIR options for the HD10 and TS10 and are the bezels even removable? I’d prefer a wider optic over diffusion tape.

I’m also considering a Hank mule but I’ve never used a mule and am worried that it would be TOO floody. Anyone ever compare a mule to a wide Wizard?

Bezel is removable, but it takes some effort to get it out (imo the HD10/HD12 bezel is easier to remove than the glued TS10 bezel). There’s no options for wider optics for them that i know, the only option is diffusion tape.

Skilhunt’s EC150/H200 lens has the same openings’ positions but the legs look thicker, so you might have a hassle making them fit.

There’s a frosted variant. Don’t know how wide the beam is though.

If you quit the wizard cold turkey you have a chance of liking something else.
If you put the wizard back on after trying something else you’ll remember why you like the wizard so much.
I got my first one about 8 years ago. I was a little unsure about the UI but watching videos and reading about it, it seemed like everything about it was what I wanted in a headlight.
I had others before and I’ve tried others since getting my first wizard.
That includes the HD10.
And I’ve come close a few times to getting the dw4 mule right angle. I think I might like it for indoor stuff and or stuff under 30 ft outdoors. There’s no way it will replace the wizard for everything. You lose the onboard charging, the head is slightly larger, it’s slightly longer than the wizard and you’re going to give up a little bit of throw. Short of a mule I don’t think you’re going to find anything else with as wide of a beam in this form factor.

The wizards were changed about 5 years ago.
The bezel and the switch are both slightly larger, springs on both ends, and it charges faster. So they are even better than what you currently have from almost 10 years ago.

Some people are happy seeing a spot and not having as wide of a “spill” as the wizards. And for certain tasks I can work with other headlights. But then I put a wizard back on and remember that it’s just about everything that I want in a headlight.
That doesn’t mean I will stop looking. It can be difficult to look at pictures or videos of headlights and determine if they are going to be anywhere near as wide as the wizards beam. Proceed carefully.

Damn. Have you tried the non-mule DW4? It has a 60 degree optic and I was thinking about trying that instead of another Wizard.

Thanks, might be worth a shot.
