Have wayyy too many lights and am going to trim by at least 50.
As a consumer, would you rather have groups for sale of all one battery/configuration type or more variety group?
Am thinking maybe some groups of 8 of just 18650 and then just multiple cell and then just EDC - AA, AAA and then Variety packs.
These are by and large shelf queens and do work, just do not get used.
Sales will be limited to continental USA.
Anyway any thoughts are welcome.
These are for the most part not high end flashlights but some will be older well made lights that are perfect for updating with todays emitters or just enjoy an inexpensive light.
I have some oddballs and classics, little bit of everything really. Sorry, Do not have a list
Probably best to list each one with its own price. This way people can buy individual ones. If they want multiple they can make you an offer via PM. For example, if you list a 3D Maglite with a Emisar together, not may people would be interested in that combination. If you have 5-6 Maglites then someone may want them as a bundle.
For the buyers individual listings and prices are better.
For you as seller it would be better to group the lights into packages, for example five lights together or so and then you only sell full packages.
If you try to handle the logistics to sell 50 lights individually, with buyers even wanting to mix and match, you will probably spend more time organizing the shipping than sleeping and enjoying your earned money
I sold my lights individually priced, people told me what they wanted and i mailed them out after Paypal payment was confirmed received.
I kept a bunch of boxes and bubble wrap from recent amazon shipments.
Interested in cheap lights to mod! You could list them by cost like shipping is flat or free over an amount and by how much each one costs like $5, $10, $15, $20 rather than manufacturer.
I guess packing up 50 individual parcels would be annoying.
Rather than grouping, you could offer postage discounts for multiples, or just price discounts for buying more than one light.
On the other hand if you want a quick sale you can list all of them for one ridiculously low price. I know about 500 or 600 people, (mostly on BLF-me being one of them) that would jump on the opportunity to buy more lights they dont use.
You’ll get closest to actual value by listing all lights individually. But you could offer incentives for buying multiple lights together, such as a discount. If you’re adding shipping to the price, that’s another incentive for someone to buy several since the shipping fee might not be much more for 2 or 3 lights than for 1. With the folks on this forum, a couple of people might jump on 10 or 12 pieces each, all at one swipe. I really doubt you’d end up mailing 50 separate packages or anything close to that.
Grouping lights together means the potential buyer will almost always be faced with getting at least one light which has little or no value to him, and that makes groups harder to sell for what they’re worth, IMO.
Have decided we are doing cheap groups pretty much by battery type.
Do have a few single items as well.
Will be adding a “Scrappers” group that are flashlights that don’t work or work on one mode, etc, or are ugly at a later time hopefully by the weekend.
Going to put some up here today.
Look for them and enjoy!
