I am lucky I got a loose screw diagnosis 
from a doctor not dealing with implants or surgery.
Thanks for the support, I’m sure its helped. Still in pain and antibiotics are wiping me out, but its early days and glad to be home. Surgery went well, with 5 screws being replaced. In hospital for just the one evening, but what an evening.
In the night they woke me to give me intravenous antibiotics, but the canular was blocked and it wouldn’t go in, no matter how hard the nurse forced it. After that my hand became very painful. I waited a while to see if the pain would go, but it didn’t. I was about to call for help when BANG! The guy next to me who was asleep in his chair and had fallen forward onto the floor.
Once the nurses had got him comfortable, I asked one to look at my canular. She removed it as it was swollen. The guy in the far corner then starts shouting “Nurse, nurse, you’ve not emptied my bottle”. Whilst the nurses were cleaning up his mess, I noticed my hand felt warm and wet. As I looked down I saw the dressing was soaked in blood and blood was dripping from my hand. So I was next to get clean sheets. I bet the nurses were cursing our room.
The rest of the night was more of the guy in the far corner constantly on his buzzer complaining, and nurses and doctor regularly checking on the guy next to me, who luckily was uninjured.
The staff in that hospital are great, always appeared happy and would joke with the patients. The patients however, what a miserable bunch of old sods
