It looks like a nice variation of the tr-3t6.
It says it takes 2 18650 but has battery tubes for 1 or 2 cells so I’m hoping it can run on 1 cell. If not I will need to get a pair of protected cells for it not a big deal. On that note I have some Sony cells that came out of a makita pack that I think are Li-Mn chemistry. Are these safe to use in pairs ? I’m gonna go do some reading about matching cells in the meantime.
if they are from a battery pack, they should be matched cells to start with. and they would have been balance charged in the pack also. i would think that the protection would have been built in to either the battery pack or the power tool, so i wouldnt think the cells would have protection.
im not a pro on these things, thats just what id figure
