The championship final game of the World Cup [Argentina vs France] should not be missed. If you didn’t see it live, then watch the rerun. An amazing Soccer match.
I am not much of a soccer fan but I watched most of that game it was very exciting.
Here’s the part that’s ridiculous,deciding a world tournament that’s once every 4 years by penalty kicks. 
In hockey they play until it’s over along with several other sports.
I remember the year 2000 Philadelphia Flyers beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in five over times! That was almost three full hockey games!

I remember in 2006 when Italy beat France in penalty kicks. Shortly after I went there and visited family. My cousin agree that that’s not the way it should be decided.
I still have several Italian World Cup champion shirts. Has all the players on the front and on the back it says campioni del Mundo

in 2000 there was the italy-france final (euro 2000), at the time there was however the “golden goal” rule and therefore there were no penalties unfortunately for us

Indicating the the final goes to penalities is a spoiler, maybe amend the title to show the ‘no spoilers’ is for the first post only?

Most exciting finals I have ever witnessed in WC.
I enjoyed it more for I was for Argentina.
