speaking of capacitors earlier and playing with some….
my fiances moms tv went, and she went and bought a new one and said if i want to fiddle with the old one i can have it.
its a magnavox lcd 32” that needs a few caps in the power supply
what i need:
2x 1200uf 35v
1x 2200uf 25v
just a quick post to see if anyone has some on hand that can get them mailed out tomorrow
1200uF/37V is not a standard value, 35V is. You will need to find 1200uF/50V caps (higher voltage ratings are OK to use… if they fit). 1000uF will probably work just fine. Never use a lower voltage cap.
if someone dont happen to have any on hand that can sell them and ship them tomorrow i will just end up buying some off ebay, but theres no guaranty i will get them by this weekend even with US sellers
Sorry Pulsar, don’t have any on hand. This is where I usually shop for common electronic parts. They evidently have a warehouse in the US somewhere. I have received orders in as little as 3 days from them. I haven’t ordered anything lately so not sure how quick the delivery would be. Site seems to suggest 7 to16 days now.
Their prices where unbeatable for me with low shipping cost. Check out the prices on resistors. I was amazed at all the various components I received for little over 20 bucks. I don’t see how they make any money having to actually lay their hands on each and every part I ordered (was well over a hundred). This may not help you now but maybe it could help some where down the road.
They also usually offer a coupon code. The present one is 15% off (666000).
If speedy delivery is key and a higher price is OK, Digikey can deliver next day if the order is entered by 5, maybe as late as 7 pm. That is, if it works the same as here in Canada. Should be, since it ships from the US. Shipping for small components is a flat $8 IIRC.
I usually build up a list of wants and order when it makes sense.
everything i found on the problem the tv is having was a bad capacitor in the power supply. opened it up and all 3 of the larger caps were bulged and 2 of them were oozing their goop. eazy fix for a free 32” lcd for our bedroom.
i was hoping someone here would happen to have some to sell, that would guaranty that i would have them by the weekend for the repairs. i have a bunch of caps, but none that size
thanks. i found the 2200uf 25v in his catalog, but not the 1200uf 35v that i need two of. i will give them a call tomorrow and see if they have it in stock.
They will be used on vin and vout of the kis-3r33s module modified for variable voltage. Remembered I had a handful of them kicking around, and got a few projects I want to get done with them.
I’m assuming they are there to smoothen the output, but honestly don’t know… I can post some links to the module and the modification if needed. I have some like the first ones I posted in my salvage bin, but I want to take all the modules I have left and pre mod them on some proto board, so when it’s time to use a modded module, I have some premodded modules

theres the info on the module mod.
at least one will be driven off 12v from my computer psu, and pretty sure at least one will be run off 12v automotive… if that effects the equation any.
i only have 4 caps that are suitable i think (22uf 35v), so id need to buy more anyways
