I’m looking for a headlamp that can sustain at least 700 lumens for an extended period of time, 1000+ would be better. Ideally it would have a throw and a high cri flood, but I’m open to options. I live rural and need to be able to see up in trees or down windy roads, but I also do a lot of work up close. I don’t want a sickly color beam. The longer the run time the better. I don’t really have a preference on battery type as long as it isn’t AA or AAA, and I don’t want an external or separate battery pack. My budget is $50. I’m cool with a used headlamp as long as it’s in really good condition and is awesome enough to make up for the fact that it’s used. Up til now I’ve had nitecore headlamps and they’ve been ok, but I want something brighter or with a better beam pattern or just, better. Thanks!
There are ply of headlamps that can hit 1000 lumens but not hold it long. Some of them cost less than $50
But if you want a headlamp that can sustain 1000 lumens that’s not gonna happen for $50.
Acebeam H30 can hold 1000 lumens for 2.5 hours but it’s not $50
Fenix hp35r can hold the spot light on turbo after thermal stepdown 1000 lumens for 4 hours but it has an external battery pack and it’s not $50
Lumonite navigator can hold 1000 lumens for 12 hours but again

Agree with @mcjtom, the HS21 is the best and most versatile headlamp I’ve ever owned. Choose flood or throw, or both, or red. Brilliant bit of kit, the higher K throw is impressive, the lower temp flood perfect for most other uses.
I don’t tend to run the two combined, I never find the need. Fit a decent battery and it should do what you need.
Plus you have the gesture sensor (can be enabled/disabled).
Add 100$ more.

Best headlamp for trees at night?
I was looking at that one, but it has the strap that goes over the top of the head and I hate those! I was hoping to find something a little higher end and used.
