If you plan on modding it, you may want to specify the 1st generation model only. I'm not sure if anyone has successfully opened up a 2nd gen version. I have a couple 2nd gens and they are the only lights I have not been able to open. Some serious thread lock must be used on mine. Also, the first gen model has the emitters in 2S config which makes swapping drivers much easier.
