Thanks. I’ve bought stuff from them before, including one of the 3D tubes. It’s tough to find the heads and tailcaps, though. Especially in good shape.
Well, that’s the only source I know of. Why exactly do people want pre-d maglites?
I like the heavier feel of the older ones. The diameter of the battery tube is a little bigger. A 3D was the first light I ever got as a kid. I guess its the nostalgia of it. Anyways, I’d like to do a couple mods. Also, the old C cells will usually hold 26xxx size Li-ions without being bored out.
These are way too old to still be stock in a store. I’m just hoping maybe somebody out there has one or two they want to part with, or some heads and tailcaps from tubes that got ruined from leaking batteries. Ya know……. 
I have a Mac tools logo’d head from a pre-D Mag in very good condition (I think it was a 3D) that’s doing nothing for me. I also have a complete pre-D, 3D Mag in good condition. PM me if you’re interested.
