Odd request but if anyone has one or two SolarForce L2-CL1 Convex Lens (DIY) that they would be willing to part with I’d like to buy!
Trying to get one for an old build but there pretty hard to find. Willing to pay a little premium on one!
If you can estimate the diameter of the lens, chances are you can find generic replacement lenses for a few bucks on aliexpress.
From what I’ve read the lens doesn’t focus the light but rather just collects it into a cone, so the focal length doesn’t really matter.

Didn’t know they had convex lenses on Ali, I’ll have to grab my calipers and get a measurement and take a look. Might be hard to get clearance around the bezel, that was the appeal of the Solarforce since it’s inside the head vs exterior lens
A rough estimate would do–these lenses are cheap enough that you can order a couple different sizes close to your estimate.

Awesome thanks! In your application, any issues with heat for acrylic or is glass a better option?
Heat is not a problem at all.
I also ordered glass lenses, and ended up liking acrylic more. The acrylic lens has a much smoother finish on the flat side, and the aspheric curvature is much better. The glass lenses deviate too much from an asphere to be useful for my application–they fail to produce a coherent virtual image due to spherical aberration. I guess the production process for acrylic is easier, probably injection molding.
Plus, acrylic is also cheaper and lighter.
